OnePath Diagnostics delivers sub-specialty diagnostic expertise to physician groups, laboratories, hospital systems, and AI companies across the country. Bringing elea live across that network is a defining step in our North American expansion.

Two U.S. milestones in a matter of weeks

In the span of a few weeks, two partnerships took shape on the other side of the Atlantic.

GastroMed Miami, a multi-site GI practice across Miami-Dade, went live with elea's Pathology Operating System, bringing structured reporting, voice-driven drafting, and real-time KPI tracking to their lab from day one. Shortly after, OnePath Diagnostics announced the nationwide rollout above.

There is a lot happening in U.S. pathology right now, and the common thread is clear: the market is moving from talking about AI to putting it to work in routine practice. We're glad to be part of it.

elea at ECDP 2026 in Graz

The 22nd European Congress on Digital Pathology brought together experts from pathology, computer science, and clinical medicine, with a clear focus on the real-world integration of digital tools into routine diagnostics.

"Who's Topping the Digital Charts?" — The Pathologist, May 2026

A new report from KLAS, the healthcare-IT benchmarking organization, takes a hard look at where digital pathology adoption actually stands, and the numbers are sobering: fewer than 15% of U.S. healthcare organizations have begun the switch, and most of those are only scratching the surface.

What makes the piece worth your time is the diagnosis of why. According to KLAS, the barrier isn't the software. As VP of Engagement Eder Lageman puts it, organizations have signed with a vendor, implemented a digital workflow, and then watched pathologists refuse to use it because it was slower than the analog process it replaced. His conclusion: adoption is a people, workflow, and infrastructure problem, not a technology problem.

That framing is exactly why we build elea the way we do. A scanner or an algorithm dropped into an unchanged workflow adds a layer of friction. Value shows up only when documentation, coordination, and data reuse are designed into the system from the start, and when implementation comes with the hand-holding that makes a new workflow faster than the old one, not slower. The report's closing questions for vendors (Is the solution mature? Will it support AI and future workflows? Will this partner guide us through the transformation?) are the right ones to ask, and the ones we want elea to keep answering.

Our Beyond the Slide webinar series continues with a U.S. session built around a question we hear constantly: where in the workflow does AI actually earn its place, and where is it better left out?

Sebastian Casu and Richard Gruner will walk through the concrete points in lab operations where AI can remove manual work, and the ones where human judgment should stay in charge. It's a practical, conversational session rather than a product pitch, with time set aside for questions.
